Fecc represents around 1600 companies In Europe of which 840 are distributors with around 30,000 employees annual sales turnover of about 28 billion Euros.
Every year Fecc organises a Congress. The Fecc Congress 2016 took place in Istanbul, and was focused on Inspiring Innovation in global economy.
The President of the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association Timur Erk presented the chemical distribution market in Turkey.
The programme with the theme Inspiring Innovation in global economy featured a broad range of speeches: the first Panel Session Future Innovation included the presentations from different points of views of some experts like : Peter George, Mihail Calomfirescu and Carsten Bauhammer, Andreas Moser, and Jürgen von Wendorff.
The Second Panel Session Value Distribution Channels for Medium Size Companies was focused on the reciprocal expectations of medium size distributors and suppliers with speeches from André Schommer, Olaf Schoen, Darren Spiby and Peter From.
There were also two parallel sessions during the first day on “Marketing and sales” and on “Voluntary Programmes”, as well as a presentation during the second day on “Distribution in Asia-Risk and Opportunities for European Players”.
The Congress had also an outstanding speech from Claude Michel (Solvay) who explained to the audience the ground-breaking Solar Impulse Project.
As every year the Fecc Congress was a good opportunity to create a good network between the members and the industry stakeholders.
Despite the terrorist threat, the Fecc Congress in Istanbul was a success, and the participants considered that the Congress met their expectations in terms both of usefulness and value.
